Crocheting Accy

by

ArtYarn, along with Huckleberry Films, spent their first weekend in Accrington Market Hall this weekend.

Whilst ArtYarn taught crochet to some very enthusiatstic ladies, Caroline and David from Huckleberry Films were recording people’s stories and thoughts about Accrington for their animation project – Animating Accy.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to have a go at crochet and a big thank you to all of you who took the time to come and chat to me about the project and to let me know that you will come along to some future sessions.

Coming up over the next few weeks are more dates where you will have the opportunity to learn how to crochet – beginners and experienced and people of  all ages are welcome.

Drop in anytime on these dates to take part, all materials are supplied and each sessions is completely free!

  • Friday 3rd September 10am – 1pm
  • Saturday 4th September 10am – 1pm
  • Thursday 9th  September 10am – 1pm
  • Friday 10th  September 10am – 1pm
  • Saturday 11th  September 10am – 1pm

I have also been kindly invited along to the first Knit & Natter group at the Civic Arts Centre in Oswaldtwistle on Wednesday 1st September and I will be there between 11am and 2.30pm.

There will be more crochet workshops dates released very soon and after those, a short series of sculpture building workshops for everyone to take part in.

Please visit the Crocheting Accy project blog for more images and info on the project.
